Apple is still a Crapple when it comes to crypto

Apple is extremely slow when it comes to understanding new technology (which is pretty odd for a tech company), some may try and deny this but it is pretty obvious with their hesitation on adapting new tech and this is starting to show with their apps.

Apple today denied a new Vertcoin Wallet app to be posted to their store, the wallets name is Vertwallet. Now you may be wondering did Vertwallet have malicious code? Well no, no it doesn’t, does it have a built in miner, well no it doesn’t have that either, nor does it try and push an ico scam.

So what is Apple on about for denying this wallet? Vertcoin is an older coin and has been around for years, but it seems like it hasn’t received ApplesA blessing which is required to be approved to have an app on the appstore.

So here is a quick list of the coins that Apple has for some reason allowed.

  • Bitcoin
  • Bitcoin Cash
  • Dogecoin
  • Dao
  • Dash
  • Digicash
  • Americoin
  • Ethereum
  • Ethereum Classic
  • Lite Coin
  • Lisk
  • Monero
  • Ripple
  • Steam
  • Tether
  • Waves
  • ZCash

Now we are seeing quite a few “Shitcoins” on this list and some I have never even heard of, what the hell is an Americoin?

So here’s the deal, knowing Apple they aren’t likely to revisit and update this often, if they do it’s most likely on an annual basis or biannual. This really puts newer o even well established coins like vertcoin in a shitty predicament, they are one of the leaders on the lightning network and the litbox and are set to allow atomic swaps. Coins like this are ready to be used in a mobile environment and it makes Android a more attractive option.

Hopefully crypto continues to push to the masses and starts to put Apple in position where they need to either be more open with crypto or reevaluate their little approval list more often.

The issue is this is Apple and they don’t want to let their users be grownups and use their devices how they want, I mean they still have NFC locked down even.
